Today, the Men’s Foursomes Handicap final took place on a beautiful fresh winter’s day. The much-anticipated showdown featured the number one seeded team of Robbie Dicintio and Lachlan Cantwell, facing off against the number six seed, Graeme Harris, and Steve Poole. Excitement filled the day as the light morning mist lifted and a few spectators eagerly awaited the outcome of another thrilling final with only four strokes between the two teams.
Graeme and Steve got off to a strong start, creating the impression of a one-sided affair and as the pair reached the ninth hole, they held a two-hole lead.
Robbie and Lachlan never gave up and started their comeback after being three holes down, and on the tee box of the par three 17th, the teams were all square. Graeme and Steve managed to settle down after a formattable comeback from the opposing team and made two great par’s to win the match, 2up.
Both teams showed great character and fought hard until the final putt dropped on the 18th.
Congratulations to the 2024 Foursomes Handicap Champions, Graeme Harris & Steve Poole. They displayed remarkable teamwork and skill throughout the whole Championship, making them deserving victors.
