Presentation Night

It was truly fantastic to witness a diverse group at the club’s Presentation Night, gathering to celebrate the winners of the 2022 and 2023 men’s and mixed board events. Additionally, we commemorated the victories of the 2022 Men’s Pennant and Senior Pennant flags, while also honoring the 2023 Hall of Fame inductee.

The event, unfortunately, was overshadowed by the absence of the Club Captain, Rohan Duncan, who is recovering from Covid at home, and the Club President, who was also unable to attend due to being interstate at the time. However, Phil Kamay, a member of the Golf Sub-Committee/Director, expertly took on the role of Master of Ceremonies, with support from his sidekick, Golf Operations Manager Tristan Cross. The evening was filled with interesting stories, laughter, and beautifully prepared food by Sarosh and his expert team of chefs.

The event concluded with the announcement of the 2023 Hall of Fame recipient, Rob Mallard. To be inducted into the Hall of Fame, the recipient must have achieved multiple scratch championship wins, multiple board event victories, represented the club in pennant matches at the highest level, and any significant golf achievements outside club golf activities are also considered. Rob fulfilled all these criteria, winning a staggering 28 board events. His induction into the Hall of Fame this year couldn’t be more fitting.
