The final round of the 75th Anniversary Cup

The final round of the 75th Anniversary Cup

Patterson River Golf Club hosted the final round of the 75th Anniversary Cup last Friday, with 94 participants enjoying a wonderful day.  The course was in superb condition and Mother Nature truly looked after us with stunning weather.

The Anniversary Cup was created in collaboration with Spring Valley GC, Patterson River GC, Latrobe GC and ourselves who were all celebrating their 75th year as Clubs this year.

Each Club is celebrating their milestone in a myriad of fashions however, we decided to all gather and celebrate as one by creating The Anniversary Cup. Each club has taken turns to host a Medley stableford golf and dinner event awarding prizes for NTP’s, long drives and a team stableford event with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

With what was thought to be an insurmountable lead, Spring Valley went into the final round with a head full of steam; however, the golfing gods had other ideas, and the rub of the green did not go their way with Latrobe Golf Club running them down to take out the event.

The Anniversary Cup was won by the Latrobe Golf Club who now host next year’s event as defending Champions.
