Members will know of Movember, the annual event to raise funds and support Men’s health, save lives and fund medical research into prostate cancer.
Members will fondly remember Roger Grigg, who passed away from prostate cancer in 2020, as a proud Movember supporter and fundraiser, who donned a ‘mo during November each year. Irene Grigg, Roger’s widow, continues to support Movember, and so does their son, Andy.
In fact, Andy’s fundraising has gone from strength to strength, raising many thousands of dollars, to the point where he has been appointed an official Movember Ambassador and was recently inducted into the Movember Hall of Fame.
Green Acres supports Movember each year by helping the Monday Boys collect donations throughout the year, and they also donate 50 cents from every Monday comp round during the year to the cause.
