A gloriously sunny 20’C day greeted a field of 63 women decked out in colours of pink for the President’s team and blue for the Captain’s team to play shotgun 4BBB off the orange tees.
An excellent way for the changing of the guard to farewell the outgoing WSC and welcome the new WSC. 14 lunch-only members came to the lunch celebrations, and we all enjoyed a delightful two-course lunch.
Speeches and presentations were made to outgoing WSC members Heather Anderson, Jane Rodgerson, Lisa Cochrane, Anne O’Hehir, Lorraine Woolley, Megan Keith and Lee Donelly.
The new WSC was presented to the members: Sue Poole, President; Fiona Bunting, Captain; Jacqui Moorhead, Vice President; Justine Grover, Vice Captain; Anne Corboy, Leonie Tamblyn, and Helen Tyler Meers.
The day’s winners were Jenny Davies and Brony Holmes on the President’s team with 49 points and Judith Voce and Genevieve Moss on the Captain’s team with 46 points.
Overall, the President’s team won with 445 points, and the Captain’s team with 417 points.
