Turf Replacement Works – Update 22/8/24

The turf replacement works continued this week in various stages, with more to do in the coming days to finish off this project next week.

As of Thursday afternoon, most of the areas identified for turf replacement have had the turf removed. Some recent rain has affected the speed that the topmaker machine, which strips the turf from the profile, moves throughout the course. Nonetheless, the project continues with just a slight rejig of the order of works by the contractors to meet the finish on Tuesday next week.

For tomorrow’s play (Friday 23rd), the 11th and 16th holes will be closed for play. New turfing will occur on the 11th hole, while the topmaker machine will remove common couch areas on the 16th hole.

All holes will be open for play this weekend.

On Monday, the 18th hole will be closed while work continues to prepare the common couch area for new turf, and to be laid on all remaining holes on Tuesday, weather permitting. Information on any affects to Tuesday play will be provided in an update on Monday.

As previously mentioned, areas of turf works are treated as No Play Zones with a Temporary Local Rule currently in operation, please refer to the full list of rules on the website and in the Golf Centre.

We will keep members updated with the latest in Friday’s GA News.
