On Friday evening, all Green Acres Pennant Teams gathered in a celebration honouring this past season, and awards were given out to our most outstanding representatives.
The pennant culture is alive and well at Green Acres, with players, caddies, and team managers from all of our teams sharing war stories from the highlights to the lowlights of matches fought. Our Senior Men, through to the Friday and Sunday Women’s teams, the Youth team and the Men’s team, all holding their heads high, representing Green Acres proudly.
Team success to be acknowledged this year:
- The Senior Men reached their 4th consecutive Final. Unfortunately, losing out to Kew
- The Friday Women’s team placed 3rd in their division. So, it is very close to the top 2 positions.
- The Youth Team reached the Final in Division 4. Unfortunately, they lost to Rossdale. However, they will move up to Division 3 next year.
- The men’s Team finished the season on top of the ladder and beat Kew in the final. Next year Division 3 awaits.
Individual success within the teams was also acknowledged with the Best Player and Most Valuable Member awards being given out.
