I wish to advise members that on Tuesday 28th May, all car parks at the club will undergo line re-painting.
This means all car parking on-site will be unavailable from the beginning of the day, as the car parks must be empty. This will cause some unavoidable disruption to Tuesday morning golfers in terms of car parking, but we anticipate the temporary inconvenience of parking on the adjoining streets is only necessary until we have these necessary works completed.
Line marking is scheduled to begin between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until complete. The work is weather-dependent, so rescheduling will be necessary if rain is forecast.
The Member’s main car park, the basement car park, and the Staff/Director’s car park will be closed to all vehicles so that the contractors have unfettered access, and then each area will reopen as the paint in the car park dries. Witches hats, bollards, ropes, and signage will be present across entry points to indicate the closure of the car park in each area. It usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours for fresh line paint to dry at this time of the year, so we intend to reopen each car park as soon as possible, with the Member’s car park reopening from approximately 11am, with all going to plan.
For everyone attending the club on the 28th May from early in the morning, the only parking options will be on the adjoining streets, until each parking area reopens during the day. Those arriving at the club in the afternoon should find most of the car parks completed and reopened.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate all Member’s understanding and patience while these improvement works are undertaken.
