Brown Brothers Challenge results
The Brown Brothers Challenge culminated in a grand finale last night, drawing a remarkable turnout of 110 golfers, each vying for glory and the prestigious Brown Brothers Challenge title. The event was a testament to the spirit of camaraderie and competition within the golfing community.
The evening was an amalgamation of sporting prowess and culinary delight as participants gathered to savour the exquisite cuisine crafted by Charles and his talented team.
Adding to the excitement were the daily competition results, with Paul Williamson emerging triumphant, securing the coveted daily wine pack with an impressive score of 22 points on a countback.
However, the pinnacle of the evening was the announcement of the overall winner of the Brown Brothers Challenge. The average of the best six rounds played throughout the season decides the winner.
This year’s champion, Fiona Scott, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, clinching victory with a remarkable score of 20.17. Unfortunately, Fiona could not attend the final round due to a preplanned getaway. Upon her return, Fiona will be delighted to enjoy a luxurious one-night stay at the hotel opposite the Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa. This package includes a range of exclusive experiences such as dinner and breakfast at the hotel, a delectable lunch at Patricia’s Table, a captivating wine-tasting session at the cellar door, and an insightful tour of the winery, concluding with a visit to the historic underground cellar. Furthermore, Fiona will receive a premium selection of four packs of Brown Brothers Wines as a testament to her outstanding achievement.
Brenda Carey finished closely behind, securing second place with a sizzling score of 20.00, while Frank Crombie claimed third place with a score of 19.67, both narrowly missing out on the top spot.
Brown Brothers generously donated all prizes.
As the evening ended, participants and spectators alike reflected on the camaraderie, competition, and shared love of golf that defined the Twilight 9 & Dine season.
