Hole 12
Red Tee Par 4 302 m
Blue Tee Par 4 332 m
Though not lengthy, Hole 12 presents a formidable challenge as a dogleg-left par 4. Large bunkers vigilantly stand guard at the corner to the left, while sloping ground and additional bunkers lie in wait on the right.
The second shot, over a small rise and down a right-to-left slope, may prove semi-blind, emphasising the prudent use of a short iron. Any errant shots veering left of the green risk meeting greenside bunkers, or potentially worse, the Yarra River. Adding to the complexity, the green slopes back to front, requiring a deft touch to navigate its contours successfully.
